Can I change the hotels or flights once I've booked?

Once you’ve booked your trip, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before departure. Beyond that time frame, your vacation package is guaranteed on Southwest airlines flights and hotels that are not completely booked. If Southwest has available space to re-accommodate you, you’ll be rebooked into comparable accommodations at no extra cost. If Southwest does not have comparable accommodation for all those originally scheduled to travel on a non-refundable Southwest vacation package deal, you will receive either (1) an alternate destination of equal value or better or (2) a Southwest Airline credit voucher in an amount of 125% of your original paid airfare purchase price toward future travel.

Do I need to book travel insurance when booking a package?

Travel insurance is an optional add-on when booking a Southwest vacation package. If you don’t purchase travel insurance, Southwest Airlines isn’t responsible for covering any cost incurred as a result of your flight getting cancelled, rescheduled or delayed. If you do have travel insurance, on top of all flights for Southwest airlines being covered if they get cancelled or delayed, travel insurance can cover costs like meals, lodging if your flight is delayed overnight and missed connections if another passenger misses their connection because of a delay on your Southwest book a flight.
